REHAB UNIT SUPERVISOR (RN) – Full-time (3-11) positions available. The Rehab Unit Supervisor manages the Rehab Unit on the assigned shift. Quality patient care and staff accountability are the main priorities. This position is responsible for the entire operations of unit including planning, directing, leading, and evaluating patient care. 3-5 years’ experience as Supervisor on a Med/Surge, LTC/STR or hospital unit required. Every other weekend and holiday required.
Rehab Assistant Unit Supervisor– Full-time (7-3). The Assistant Unit Supervisor is responsible for staff, management,
and coordination of nursing services on our Rehab Unit. Assists the Director of Nursing by fulfilling multiple functions including patient advocacy, staff management, and oversight and coordination of facility resources while demonstrating
professional responsibility.
REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – Full-time and Part-time positions are available. Must be PA licensed RN. Responsibilities include record vital signs, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident/patient status; and electronic medical record documentation in accordance with care plan, policy, and procedures. Every other weekend and holiday required.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) – Full-time and Part-time positions available. Must be a PA licensed LPN. Responsible for administering medication, treatments, and quality care to residents/patients as outlined in care plan. Document electronic medical record in accordance with policies and procedures. Every other weekend and holiday required.
CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE (CNA) – Full-time and Part-time positions available. Must have a PA Nurse Aide Registration. Responsibilities include compassionate care and assistance with activities of daily living. Must be a caretaker who builds positive relationships with our patients and residents. Every other weekend and holiday required.
Maintenance Technician (HUD) – Part-Time (16 hours per week) Responsible for maintaining assigned facilities in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition; completing preventative maintenance, general repairs, groundskeeping and interior cleaning. Perform other related duties as directed by the Property Manager, Facilities Coordinator or Director/Assistant Director of Housing. This position may require travel to any of the HFSL Independent Living apartment buildings as needed for coverage, special projects, etc.

Junior Volunteer Opportunities
Youths, 13 to 17 years of age, can become involved with the residents as Junior Volunteers, assisting in the following areas: Physical therapy – escort residents to and from therapy and beauty shop appointments. On the nursing floors, you can stop by to visit the residents for a chat, or deliver and read them their mail.
Youth volunteers assist delivering newspapers, mail and flowers, along with visiting with residents. They assist residents with recreational activities, including games such as Wii, bingo, bean bags, card games and more.
